Inside the library

Clear sources. Honest expectations.

This policy explains how catalog information is organized and the limits of its review. We aim to support discovery without turning evidence into guarantees.

What we evaluate for inclusion

We look for a verifiable identity, a clear relationship to the original game or software and public references that explain the proposal. Classification follows documentation; not every reimplementation or compatibility layer is a native port.

Demos and tools are identified accordingly. Inclusion does not mean affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement by the author and does not certify the legal status of every project asset.

Source priorities

We primarily use project repositories, READMEs, documentation and release pages. Inherited catalog records guide research and do not replace current sources.

Independent references can identify an original game by its disc serial alongside the project’s own configuration. They are labeled separately and do not establish port compatibility.

Specific claims should include a source and consultation date. When evidence conflicts or is missing, we describe the limitation and avoid filling gaps with assumptions.

Interpreting status and compatibility

“Release available” means we found a published version, not necessarily a stable or playable one. Compatibility and target systems rely on documented support, not filenames, stars, commits or images alone.

The original console differs from the target system. Progress, versions and requirements may change after consultation; follow current project instructions before installation.

Bibliographic checks and pending review

Bibliographic checks address identity, classification and sources. They are not security audits, complete code reviews, hardware tests or game execution tests. Any future first-hand tests must state their scope separately.

Pages awaiting documentation or identity review have a notice, a noindex instruction and exclusion from the sitemap. This does not certify other projects or guarantee immediate removal by search engines.

Images and attribution

Images help identify projects or original games. Sources are recorded, and original game artwork is labeled to avoid presenting it as evidence of port compatibility.

Credit does not grant a license. Substantiated requests from rights holders or representatives may lead to corrected attribution, replacement or removal after review.

Highlights and ordering

Initial highlights help visitors discover familiar projects and are not rankings of quality, safety or performance. Search and filters support exploration of the rest of the catalog.

This version has no paid placements, affiliate links or advertising. If that changes, commercial content must be identified and editorial criteria preserved.

Corrections and updates

To report an error, provide the page, affected statement and a current source. Requests are assessed on their merits and may lead to revisions, reclassification, corrected links or removal.
