About this project

The README compares bbport to Wine+DXVK for one game: original CPU code runs directly, PS4 libraries are replaced, and GPU commands/shaders translate to Vulkan. It is not a source rewrite.

Compatibility

Requires Linux x86-64 and Vulkan 1.3. Thorough tests reported only on AMD RX 7800 XT/Mesa RADV; the new memory model is experimental, with uneven NVIDIA results and no Intel validation.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.

Development progress

Not documented in the available sources.

Known limitations

Maintainers report experimental playability in several areas, not a verified full playthrough. Advanced upscalers require matching assets/features; Steam Deck AppImage validation remains roadmap work.

Getting started

Requires a clean decrypted Bloodborne 1.09 executable with update files merged into the dump; base 1.00 and some prepatched 60 fps executables are rejected/problematic.
