A starting point

bbhost is a Bloodborne-specific PS4 compatibility layer: original x86-64 CPU code runs directly while system calls and GPU work are adapted to desktop/Vulkan.

Original Bloodborne 1.09 CPU code runs without CPU recompilation; bbhost implements PS4 library calls and translates/lifts GPU shaders for Vulkan. Some compute work still uses an emulated command processor.
